Does your student enjoy tales of daring warriors, crafty sorcerers, and powerful dragons?  Do they imagine themselves as fantastical heroes with a magical sword at their side?  Young Art’s Fantasy Journey will empower them with the skills and encouragement to fully flesh out their creative worlds of discovery and wonder!

Students will use their creativity to explore a fantasy world of their creation – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create a dynamic world full of characters and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with a study of the Elements of Line and Shape as they pertain to mood and structure, envisioning a Heroic Figure to act as the main character in their visual story.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Principle of Contrast to devise an Arch-Villain for their tale.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Element of Form to create a Mystic Castle in their Fantasy story. 

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Element of Texture to manifest a Heroic Steed of their main character.  

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement the Principle of Unity to develop the costuming/uniform of their arch-villain’s foot soldiers.

Students will use their creativity to manifest a friendly animal world of their own creation – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create a dynamic world full of characters and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with a study of the Element of Texture, sparking a Fuzzy Friend animal to act as the main character in their visual story.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Element of Form to envision a home or den for their Fuzzy Friend to live in.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Principle of Rhythm to create a Bird Friend for their story.

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Element of Space to manifest a Woodland Glen for their animals to explore.  

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement Color Theory to develop a scene where they are included in the world of their creation, interacting with their Animal Friends.

Does your student enjoy tales of Super Heroes and Villains?  Do they imagine themselves as a superpowered hero, defeating the Bad Guys and upholding the law?  Young Art’s Super Heroes Week will empower them with the skills and encouragement to fully flesh out their heroic characters to populate a comic book full of heroes and villains!

Students will use their creativity to explore a fantasy world of their creation – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create a dynamic world full of characters and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with a study of Color Theory as they envision a Heroic Alter-Ego complete with a costume to act as the main character in their visual story.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Principles of Emphasis and Movement to devise an epic image of their Superhero utilizing their powers.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Elements of Line and Shape to create a powerful item that grants their Hero their powers.

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Principle of Contrast to manifest a Vile Supervillain to challenge their hero.  

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement the Element of Value to develop an Epic Confrontation between their Hero and Villain.

Students will use their creativity to develop various friendly critters and monsters of their creation – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create a dynamic world full of characters and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with a study of the Element of Form, envisioning a Monster Friend to act as their companion in their visual story.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Element of Texture to devise an advanced form of their Monster Friend as they gain experience and travel together.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Principle of Unity to create a Monster Pet for their Fantasy story. 

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Elements of Line and Shape to manifest a Monster-Themed Vehicle to explore the world with their Monster Friend.  

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement the Element of Space to develop the Monster World they will explore with their characters.

Students will use their creativity to explore various clothing styles of their creation – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create figure models, patterns, and dynamic fashion to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with a study of the Principle of Rhythm to determine the pattern and visual Unity, envisioning a variety of Patterns to use for fabrics in their clothing.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Elements of Line and Shape to devise human figure drawings to use for their future clothing designs.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy Color Theory to create a Spring Look inspired by nature and camouflage. 

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Principles of Emphasis and Movement to manifest an outfit made for a day at the beach or underwater adventures.  

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement the Element of Texture to develop a unique look for the blustery days of autumn.

Students will use their creativity to explore a far-off world of their creation – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create a dynamic world full of alien plant and animal life and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with study of the Principle of Balance as they pertain to composition, envisioning a strange and alien landscape that would appear on their science fiction world.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Element of Space in regards to showing depth in artwork to devise an Intergalactic Starport for their planetary excursions.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Principle of Contrast to create an Alien Life Form for their distant planet. 

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Color Theory to manifest a Sunset Vista Landscape that would occur on their world.

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement the Principle of Rhythm to develop a unique form of plant life that could exist on their Alien World.

Students will use their creativity to explore a Video Game world of their creation – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create a dynamic world full of characters and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with study of the Principle of Contrast, envisioning an Avatar for the player to act as the main character in their Video Game.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Principle of Balance to devise a view of their Game Character in action.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Element of Value to create a Non-Player Character to help further the story of their game.

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Element of Form to manifest a three-dimensional all-around view of their Avatar character.

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement the Principles of Emphasis and Movement to develop a level in their Video Game world from beginning to end.

Students will use their creativity to explore a variety of locales – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create images of places and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with study of the Element of Space as they pertain to depth in a composition, envisioning a Sunset Vista on a Tropical Beach.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Principle of Rhythm to devise a realistic view of a Brick House with a Fence.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Element of Texture to create a strong sense of Depth in a detailed Landscape of their choosing. 

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Principle of Balance to manifest a Majestic View of Mountains.  

Day 5 – To finalize their exploration of various vistas, students will implement the Element of Form to develop a Cityscape of modern day skyscrapers.

Students will use their creativity to explore a Mythic World of their creation, based on classical mythology – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create a dynamic world full of characters, creatures, and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with a study of the Element of Value, envisioning a Heroic Figure to act as the main character in their visual story.  

Day 2  – Utilizing the Principle of Unity to devise a Majestic Steed for their Hero to ride in their tale.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Principles of Emphasis and Movement to create a Hybrid Animal Monster for their Mythic story. 

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Element of Value to manifest an Epic Showdown of their Hero facing down their Hybrid Monster.

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement the Principle of Balance to develop a Mythic Deity that guides their Hero on their Journey.

Does your student enjoy thrilling rides at Amusement Parks?  Do they design their own thrills and chills of potential rides?  Young Art’s Theme Park Week will empower them with the skills and encouragement to fully flesh out their creative Theme Park of discovery and wonder!

Students will use their creativity to explore a Theme Park of their creation – using knowledge gained through direct teacher instruction and examples to help them create a dynamic Amusement Park full of rides and locations to spark their imagination.

Day 1 –  Students begin their journey with study of the Principles of Emphasis and Movement as they pertain to Composition, envisioning a Roller Coaster to be the main attraction in their Theme Park.

Day 2  – Utilizing the Element of Value to devise a Spooky Frightful Ride for their park’s patrons.  

Day 3 –  Students will deploy the Principle of Balance to create a Themed Ride Concept. 

Day 4 – Students will focus on the Principle of Rhythm to manifest a series of Bumper Cars.  

Day 5 – To finalize their storytelling journey, students will implement the Principle of Contrast to develop a Kiddie Water Ride that they would like to go on.

Drawing

Learn essential sketching skills, practice proportions, study shading, and identify simple shapes within complex subjects. 

Break the rules with tricks of the trade as taught by the art masters!

Digital

Be immersed in digital illustration techniques and principles using Procreate! 

Deepen your understanding of composition, color theory, character design, and more. 

Study various painting techniques, understand the principles of shading and light and get to know the Procreate app with guidance from a knowledgeable instructor.

Painting

Create a masterpiece one brushstroke at a time! 

Use layers to add depth, colors to add contrast, and learn techniques to add details that make your art piece stand out.

Camps are highly interactive and students will have the opportunity to socialize, play games and share their ideas in a fun and upbeat environment.
Cancellation Policy: Bookings including lessons and camps, are non-refundable but can be transferred to another week or another family.
